MERCEDES-BENZ APPROVES HVO RENEWABLE DIESEL For its medium- and heavy-duty engines, used neat or blended, with immediate effect, The company is granting approval for the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) renewable diesel for the in-line six-cylinder engine variants of the Mercedes-Benz OM 470, OM 471 (first generation) and OM 936 as well as the in-line four-cylinder variants of the OM 934 meeting the Euro VI emissions standard. The engines are designed as standard to make use of the new HVO fuel. The approval applies to all engine variants whatever their output category.

INDIA'S FIRST HYBRID BUSES ON MUMBAI ROADS Tata Motors has concluded an agreement with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for the supply of around 25 such vehicles. The Starbus Hybrid bus, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo in Delhi earlier, will run in and around the business district's Bandra Kurla Complex in suburban Mumbai, said Ravindra Pisharody, executive director -- commercial vehicles at Tata Motors. The new bus is fully compliant with Bharat Stage IV emission standards.
